Topic: The Night Before Christmas.....

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the land, Not a creature was stirring, not even the band.   The guitars were stored in their cases with care, In hopes that the Maestro soon would be there.     The fans were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of concerts danced in their heads. Me in my Joe shirt and my Joe cap had just settled down for a long winter's nap, When out on the street there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter...Away to the window and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave a lustre of mid-day to objects below..When what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a black Mercedes Benz with a trunk full of gear....With an agile young driver, now stuck in the snow, I knew in an instant that it was Joe! More rapid than eagles his soloes they came, And he stomped and shouted and called them by name: Now Eric, Now Rory, Now Roy and Keb'Mo..On B.B., On Jeff B., on Albert and Django! To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall! Now Riff away, Riff away, Riff away all! As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet an obstacle, mount to the sky, So up to the house-top the Mercedes flew, With a trunk full of gear and Malibu Joe too.                                Ok that's as far as I've gotten so far..Please feel free to help....

Re: The Night Before Christmas.....

Then through the cold, i heard me a sound and knew in an instant what he was putting down.
I slammed down the window and barely turned round, in time to see heaven brought to the ground.
Dressed in their blues rags, right down to their boots, the backbeat was started on Bogie's right foot.
He pulled out his guitar and cutting no slack. looked over at Carmine, no holding back.
His head he bowed low, the notes they did fly, the power enough; a grown man to cry.
The keyboard Rick tickled, a veteran indeed, the entire band was Joe's hard charging steed.
His fingers were fire and from them poured smoke and I said to myself, is this some Christmas joke?
He spoke not a word, but went right to work and finished his burndown, then turned with a jerk.
After slinging his guitar round on his back, he gave a quik nod and the crew went to pack.
Back to the Benz he went and into the night.  But I heard him exclaim ere he drove outa sight.

Happy Bluesmas to all, the future is bright!
