Topic: Favorite Debut Albums

Well, like a few previous posts, I've been watching the Sea of Tranquility page on youtube, and they talk about lots of different music, different themes, etc. This month, the theme is Favorite Debut albums. There's a lot of great debuts, and it's hard harrowing it down to just 31. Keep in mind, mine aren't really ranked. I'm just going off the top of my head for the most part. I Might pick some on a certain day because it could be their birthday, etc. Here's the first 10 that I have so far.

#31. Kris Kristofferson - Kristofferson
#30. The Police - Outlandos D'Amour
#29. Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Texas Flood
#28. Dio - Holy Diver
#27. The Byrds - Mr. Tambourine Man
#26. Gary Clark Jr. - Blak & Blu
#25. The Outlaws - Outlaws
#24. Hootie & The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View
#23. Jackson Browne - Jackson Browne
#22. Marcus King Band - Soul Insight

Re: Favorite Debut Albums

Well, as you say, there’s a lot out there..
I’ll go with three that I own on CD/LP and have seen live from completely different musical genres..

1. Iron Maiden (Iron Maiden)

2. Raintown (Deacon Blue)

3. Way up on the Hill (Hatful of Rain)

No.3 are an English folk/Bluegrass band based in Brighton.
