whatever you do, don't answer that door. Some great playing here from KTBA '17, with Larry's son Travis on bass guitar and Lemar Carter on the drumset. I really like King's ES345 Stereo but they are very heavy. You had better have some sturdy legs if you have to stand up for any length of time

I know we have posted a lot of TMS, but this is soooo good........... Max absolutely destroys the solo

Jeff Beck with Johnny Depp guesting from last night at Royal Albert Hall. What happened to Jeff's hair ? What a train wreck
I was at the Gateshead show on June 2nd. I don't take video clips (no phone, believe or not) but here's some I found from that night. Some tracks are better than others where Mr Depp is playing Rock God, but make your own mind up...

Touring next month with the mighty Firekind is Loz Campbell: she rocks like the UK answer to Lizzy Hale, so thought I'd best get brushed up on some of her material...

Also enjoying the back Bite The Bullet EP...
Donald's voice may not be quite what it used to be, but he's still out there touring after all this time. Early on in the 70s and 80s they rarely played in concert. I finally got to see them on the Two Against Nature tour, whatever they called that tour I can't remember now. Here with yet another allstar band ................ Adam Rogers on guitar, Jon Herington on lead guitar, Keith Carlock on drums. I don't know who that is on the bass. I take that back, it is Freddie Washington on bass who has played with them many times before

Brother's Landreth - Come Morning (2022)
Nothing much has changed in the recipe for the brother's latest album, but this is very much more introspective and personal though has a "thread" of hope running through.
As ever, excelently produced and executed but not an easy listen.
from just last night in SoCal. I am really into Mike's band now and can't wait to see them if they get anywhere near me. well, you might as well have 3 of them

guess who else is still touring after all these years ? He looks really good. I am right at 1 month older than him, so he will turn 68 in August. Still with Graham Maby on the bass. I don't know who that is on guitar and drums. He will play here in town on June 18 but my son doesn't want to take me, rats

Mike was talking last week about seeing Jeff Beck and I was very jealous as I've never seen him live.
Even with a has been like Johnny Depp it woulda been worth it. However, I digress. This is about another hero of mine in Joe Jackson and I wish I could check him off my list. What a freaking songwriting genius with that incredible voice. You need to bribe your son and get down to the show.
I'm going to check his schedule for me to see him.

Well, thanks to this report and videos I bought both his albums this afternoon. Very good stuff and you can hear Petty's influence from beyond the grave. Interesting mix of music. I like "Irish Girl" the best so far, but there are many great songs. Thanks for the shout.
Found out this afternoon a family member came down with Covid. Hope my antibodies hold up.
here it is again: - The line between the talent and the genius is very fine but is also very obvious
Beth Hart - Woman Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHmZ02U4JRQ
Marillion - Distant Lights. 2022
This a 2 live show set, split over 4 discs, taken from their main night performances at their fan gatherings in 2019 in Port Zelande, Netherlands and Leicester, UK.
The Port Zelande set is culled from their f.e.a.r.; Sounds That Can't Be Made; Happiness Is The Road and Somewhere Else albums while the Leicester set comes from the earlier Season's End, Holidays In Eden; Brave and Afraid of Sunlight albums. So, for a 2019 recording, that's their most recent 4 albums and their first 4 with Steve Hogarth on vocals. Even though he's been their vocalist/writer for [gone] 30 years, there are still those who argue for Fish, but I tell you what; listening to the Leicester performance, he can still carry to notes and soar songs he performed 25 to 30 years ago - not many vocalists can do that... And then you got the sublime guitar work of Steve Rothery, an under-recognised legend. And believe or not, this set, including postage - $20.....

Two top notch bands from our resident guru. I got the EP and look forward to the upcoming album.
This band has an incredible guitarist and a pretty gifted singer as well. I am very impressed with Smoke, but Cardinal Black is a notch more polished.
Here's a standout studio recording off the EP.
