I've got it so bad
the Bonafluenza Blues
Makes me feel so good

Waiting for the show    11-23-16

Anticipation, waiting for the show
Tickets were bought so very long ago
Every day my excitement does grow

It’s not much longer now,  just three more sleeps
But I can not predict how many weeps
That’s the changing secret that my heart keeps

I know Bonamassa’s music will heal
Each of the kinds of heartaches that I feel
Even happy tears will seem much more real

I’m stressing on what t-shirt I will wear
Got new ones and vintage ones oh so rare
Fashionamassa with personal flair

I have been sitting here on my boat dock
Banging my bongos to the clock’s tick tock
Dreaming of Blues only Joe can make Rock!

I’ll return to my hometown Baltimore
From my weekend place down the Eastern Shore
To the Lyric Opera House once more

A fine venue with some deep history
Of the city and my family tree
Place of first concert, me, Dad, symphony

His spirit will be there, felt with each beat
My dear Bonabuddy in the next seat
A circle of music full and complete

I started writing this before 2018 so just pretend you are reading it on New Year's Eve

Throughout this year of yore

I discovered Joe in September '10
Life has changed so much since then
Living, loving and running around
So many memories abound
