Re: The Tyne - Tees Gig Guide.

Well, things are kind of up-in-the-air at the moment with gigs, I would probably think larger venues such as indoor arenas especially.

I'll try to post any postponements that I hear as quickly as I do announcements, but if you hear anything before I do, please post. We could be in for a bumpy ride over the next month or so, but hey, grist to the  blues mill...

Best advice - check the venue or band website regularly, before venturing out.

Re: The Tyne - Tees Gig Guide.

Buck & Evans cancelled their Newcastle show at the week-end; Danny Bryant cancelled both Redcar and Blackpool shows.

Word also seems to be that the Scarborough Top Secret Blues Festival has been cancelled; their site says it's on while several bands' sites say it's off, so check before you go.

Well; think I'm back to the stage where I'm just adding new gigs rather than re-scheduled.... I'd still recommend that you check gigs for September & October as we're not out the woods yet...

Well, following the latest pronouncement, I've used Valentine's Day as a cut-off. Realistically I can't see anything this side of Easter, but let's be positive - in this respect anyway.....

Re: The Tyne - Tees Gig Guide.

Typical!!! You wait for one Summertime Blues Extravaganza, and TWO come along within a week.

This July, we have Linda Valentine-Short steering Newcastle Cluny's "We Are Back", 9th-11th July, then on the 16th, and a short walk upstream at Newcastle's Riverside, Eric Gales, Ben Poole, The King Bees & The National Anthems play the Big Blues Bash

The BBB with Eric & Ben travels over to Liverpool the following day, to be joined by Connie Lush, Kyla Brox and Headhunters Blues band.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT DARLINGTON R'N'B FESTIVAL WEEK-END

The decision has been made that the main events of the RnB Weekender due to take place on Saturday and Sunday in the Market Square and the Riverside stage are to be postponed, with a new date to be confirmed as soon as possible.
However, many of the fringe events planned in the individual venues are still going ahead at their own discretion. Please continue to support these venues this weekend as there is still a great lineup at The Forum Music Centre, Frasers Bar, Bondgate Tavern Darlington, The Quakerhouse, Vesuvio, ORB Micropub, The Hoskins,  Number One Bar & Britannia Inn.

This evening's gig by Redfish at Darlington Forum will still go ahed.
