Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCl) announced today that it is cancelling the cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl from Rome (Civitavecchia) scheduled for July 5, 2019, according to an employee of NCL and comments posted on social media.

An NCL employee who works in their corporate offices and wishes to remain anonymous informed me that the Pearl is experiencing engine problems.

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

first...i didn't use quotes on my post...looking now, I hope it was clear that I was just quoting from the link...i hadn't talked to any NCL employee

second hey thats not a bad idea Rick. the cruise is fun and cool to go to a new place but only one 8 hour stop....I wouldn't mind the comfort of knowing ship won't go down but still having the fun of being on there....i've wondered if one day maybe some sort of other event type thats doesnt involve being on big ship but the fun stuff it has...idk...and of course then Rick could go!
looked at my account yesterday...three more payments to go and keep l.i.v.i.n. till February....still looking forward to it!

i wish i had more money and free time because I'd love to stay in Florida for the Joe shows around the cruise....but got to take care of biz....

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

wooohooo they just added Joanne Shaw Taylor!!! AND Josh Smith AND Joanna Conner!!!!
wooohoo

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

They just added Matt Andersen, Honey Island Swamp Band and Dylan Bishop.
I'm familiar with Matt and he was on the KTBAIV but I didn't get a chance to catch a full set so i am pretty stoked about that.
Also just looking forward to this cruise...its still two months away but is Joe's next scheduled show dates.
i did see on his instagram other day he will be performing with Alice Cooper somewhere I think and you never know when he'll pop in on stage somewhere or at an event but catching the band after a long break on their first show back is usually extra special idk...can we skip the most of winter please!?

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

Really not good time for me to get away but i am doing it!

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

I thought this posted yesterday before I got on plane but I see it didn't go thru......was cool to meet two couples heading back to BWI on same plane...I had cruise shirt, they had sweatshirt or swag bag....keeps the fun going a little longer....and even being on same ship....everyone has different show stories etc.......gotta run right now too...will say more later

Hey....another great cruise....it was my third....i always intend to make notes etc. I  get the internet but really only works for me in certain areas and not in room well.
You really are so busy then miss half of everything.
Then some of us drink too much..... : D

I'm at airport to head back to a similar reality of being too busy and still missing half....

Highlights for me besides seeing  Joe with good bonabuddies and meeting new ones....
Got to see Joe up front a few times

Living Colour !!!!!!!!!! Up front twice
Will Calhoun handed me his sticks after the one show

I also caught Paul Thorn band a few times....loved it
Buddy Guy for first time....Christone...Taz....Ally
Joanne Shaw Taylor right up front....
Etcetc....didn't catch every act but most of them.....enjoyed the Paul Schaffer super jam

All the posts about it convince me we’ll never do one. I detest crowds, H gets seasick and too many bands.
Glad those that go enjoyit. I saw JT last year ata fest. Way past his prime imo.

Joanne Shaw Taylor was great as always and she's def in her prime so i know you don't mean that JT

Re: Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VI February 18-22, 2020

OH OK thats GT...I agree, past his prime but his guitaris Jim Suhler isn't....:D many other cruisers said that wasn't a draw for them but many said it was

LOL Cathy just reminded me of this...was one of the best moments on ship...I'm still LMAO when i think of it. We had just finished eating and were headed to one of the many shows going on at the moment...
We hear Santana....sounds great...I mean REALLY great....we think huh...whoever it is , is playing a cover but its sooo good lets check it out instead of where we were headed....we follow the music...saying wow this is so good...
the music leads us right to the arcade....it was two guys playing the guitar hero game!
We stayed and cheered them on for a bit...I think it messed up their score but it was truly a great moment!!! big_smile big_smile big_smile
