Topic: My Strange Big Day

Today I drove up to my employer to inform them I was resigning my position and thus officially retiring.  After decades of waking up in strange hotels and walking through airports all over the world, I decided today to pull the plug.  This is so strange to me but I've worked a long time and need to stop and relish what God's got left for me.

Wow Curby!!! This is big! Congratulations on getting your freedom back> shackles off. Don't feel too guilty - the big guy is doing far better then you are.

Re: My Strange Big Day

As someone who's at "the counting down the months stage" (29, if all goes to plan) I can't say I'm not a little envious.  Here's hoping you have all the time you need to enjoy the things you love plus some extra to try new things.

Take it easy.....

When life gives you lemons; don't make lemonade.
Give back the lemons.  Why were the lemons free?  What's wrong with the lemons?
Do Not trust the lemons...

Re: My Strange Big Day

I can surely relate. Life on the road can grind you down.
I drew the line at overseas jobs and trained in a replacement with talent.
Congratulations, and good fortune on the new facet of life you’ve embarked on.
