Topic: Guitars for blues tone?

I am starting to shop around for a second guitar and would like to get something thats good for a blues / rock tone... Which guitars should I be trying that'll go well with my AC30 and compliment my current Ibanez SA32FM for range of tones? I'm willing to spend anything up to about $1000, maybe more.
