Re: Joe rescued MANNY'S sign

That’s great for Joe to do. I am sure it means a lot to people of that area to preserve the sign.

Your rock candy baby
Your hard sweet and sticky

Re: Joe rescued MANNY'S sign

Had to give it to Song Birds, it was too big to hang in either Nerdville

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Re: Joe rescued MANNY'S sign

cool thing for Joe and for Joe to do. i never went there....been reading a little about it...interested in anyone's stories
and definitely any of Joe's including how he got to buy the sign. i have seen his instagram posts over the years (but doesn't seem like it was that long ago he first told us he got the sign! time flies!)

found a little article about the closing https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2009 … the-wall-2
I guess Joe was on the wall of fame? Found this link that I guess was the store's website and now is a virtual wall of fame...will look for Joe later

Songbirds:  " - Our curator, David Davidson of Well-Strung Guitars & your host Bryan Shannon talk all things vintage guitars while Joe reminisces about the old Manny's Music sign from 48th St. NY, telling the impact it had on young musicians and why he gifted it to us to hang within our collection here at Songbirds" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkfXGZquEaE
