Thinking of the last couple of posts on Kingfish, I think I might agree that his album is more quietly recorded, but that's what appeals to me.  Not every new artist has to be a guitar god to be successful.  If you listen to my earlier post of the three "In the Van" videos I'll think you'll hear he can shred quite capably.

I have seen enough YouTube videos to say he is an excellent guitar player. His talent goes beyond that so he doesn’t have to rely on it. So it will be interesting to watch his career as he is just starting !

Re: Kingfish

I had been hearing the buzz about him for a while and then he showed up in my town so I snagged tickets right away and he was simply amazing.  How can he be just 20, he sounds like he's been playing so much longer than that.  Anyone that can see him live should absolutely do so.  Such a fun night!

This is a fine blues album. Such talent for a 20 year old . He definitely has been soaking up all the legends and really has an uncanny feel for the blues.
Outstanding !!
