Topic: New live album announced

As I am sure it’s been blasted out there in the google net.I am wondering what everyone thinks of the track listing.Looks like recent pre Redemption material.
Only 9 tracks so perhaps some extended jamming?

Looks like just a single CD, which is unusual as it can only be around 50% of the concert.

He took it all too far,
but boy, could he play guitar.

Partial show = weird.  I’m already annoyed.

Re: New live album announced

That full set list is much more attractive in purchasing the physical product for me

WAKE ME UP WHEN BCC V DROPS!!!! big_smile
just kidding.....I won't be able to sleep until it does!!!!

still kidding sort of...yeah i can't figure this release out any more than I could figure which thread to comment on big_smile

For me it will be worth the price for how Deep this River Runs.....
but i definitely am pre-order shy as well.....would be surprised and yes somewhat disappointed if they do release an exclusive with more tracks....
now that would be at least an explanation of why it is so truncated...but i know enough to know i don't know why they do most things that boggle my mind...so will see what happens.

I did find a youtube Paulie Cerra posted from back then of soundcheck...and it said geting ready for dvd shoot show so it was supposed to be dvd and I'm sure cost a lot to film....just a bunch of questions surrounding this

i hope its not this cd then later the dvd?

Re: New live album announced

Regarding CD now then DVD later: Seems like that has been done before: full length DVD but edited CD.

Re: New live album announced

Read somewhere a few years ago, they didn't want to just keep releasing same songs each live album.

But as we know Joe can make each rendition special

But it would be nice to have a "official " CD version of the original ANDY DVD,  had to do my own

---------------

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Re: New live album announced

maybe they are putting the cd out now so can sell at shows on the upcoming Australia tour...maybe dvd not ready or maybe dvd will get bonus songs from this tour..idk...just curious

It was with the Radio City Live album but the cd was packaged with the dvd.

I imagine the video of the show is ready for pbs broadcast but maybe sales of the physical dvd/ blu rays has been declining to where this won't get a physical dvd.

Re: New live album announced

If Led Zeppelin (Celebration Day) can put out a combined 2 CD 1 DVD package at a reasonable price, surely J&R could do the same, the whole concert must have been recorded/filmed?
Just a thought.

Re: New live album announced

was a little frustrating to see the pre-order email....has link to a vid of Mountain Climbing from the show.....soooo curious about whether or not there will be a dvd and or more songs released. time will tell I guess

I see the vinyl is a double set...with 10 songs, Living Easy being a bonus track

Yeah, even then the DVD from Radio City Music Hall wasn’t full length — if I remember correctly, though, most of the tunes on there were previously released from Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks (Oh, Beautiful!, Sloe Gin, etc. which were both on the original RCMH setlist and on MWRR).
