KC was a blast! Everyone in the band and crew seemed to be relaxed and well rested. I even noticed Dave (Joe's guitar tech) was running around before and after the show singing to himself. The sound was great and even though the set list is similar to other shows, it is always fresh with different twists and spins on the songs and it has been really great to see Bogie's drum solo evolve over the past year.
Vince, it was great hanging out with you and misterlee before and after the show. I hope to be able to do it again soon. You will HAVE to make it to St. Louis the next time Joe plays The Pageant. If you can get a copy of the show on CD I will swap you some photos from the show.
On a side note: At about 1:45 am I witnessed a high speed car chase going the opposite direction on the interstate. There were over 15 police cars chasing. Another mile or two up the road I exited to get gas and noticed another 4 police cars waiting at the on ramp to the direction I was headed. I guess they were prepared in case the subject cut through the median to head in the other direction. That would have been an experience to get caought up in that mess!
When I got home at 4:30 am I had to take a quick review of my photos to see what I had, otherwise I would not have been able to sleep. Got to sleep at 6:00 am and got back up at 8:45 am, too psyched for the St. Louis show and meeting up with Patty and misterlee and other friends. Only a couple of hours sleep Sat. night too and am now running on caffine! I will have KC photos up in the next day or so. So many shows......so many photos..... but I'm not complaining!
