“I think the record came out good,” he said. “People have been responding, so all the pain and suffering was worth it.” - https://www.pe.com/2018/11/19/joe-bonam … ong-beach/ - ............... Joe always wins and has it all.

FYI Joe's interview with GuitarWank spans 3 episodes, each about an hour long, and they're all up now:

Thanks again for these. I've gotten thru the first one and really enjoyed it. Lots of Joe talking and not even that much about guitar. All kinds of topics!

Re: Joe's Interviews

Great interview from 09/20/2017. Joe and Kevin Shirley are talking about their beginnings, then how they met and started working together, very interesting talk also about BCC. Really, really good interview, don't remember when I listened to radio show with such a thick interest. Highly recommend. https://player.siriusxm.com/now-playing

Update: didn't realise yesterday you have to be logged in to listen to this one... ahrrrrr..... It is an interview on Eddie Trunk show, I found it by entering " Joe Bonamassa" into the search field.

Here is a little bit, Kevin Shirley is talking about working with Iron Maiden https://namvideo.com/watch/sC1fSAuslzY

"Guitar Techniques" magazine May 2019

"GT: Your house or studio is burning down, which guitar do you do an emergency dash for?

JB: I have a drill that I practice. And I’m not joking. I can haul eight guitars outta Nerdville on my own in a hurry. The list is: The Black Burst, the two 1958 Flying V’s, Principal Skinner and The Howard Reed Strat. The three that fall out of my hands I will go back for. Why? Cause they are seriously worth risking my life for. Duh! " https://jbonamassa.com/features/2019/joe60/ - so what are the other 3? smile

Re: Joe's Interviews

https://www.bluesfromtheinsideout.com/joe-bonamassa  - very interesting interview . But what really caught my attention is last several minutes. If things are so great - why keep it secret. But who am I - just an ignorant foreigner - what do I know

Re: Joe's Interviews

thanks for interview link...not sure what you mean by secret? i actually only had a moment so i just listened to last few mins because you had me curious....but i look forward to listening to the rest of the interview...hope to get back to it soon

and a bunch more on this thread...sometimes on rainy day i go back but more and more links don't work anymore so I will have to keep up better big_smile

Re: Joe's Interviews

got to listen to it...good interview....I enjoyed hearing Joe talk about why he doesn't have three guitarists in his band....but the part i liked best was how KTBA doesn't give donations for kids/schools for them to have to play blues....its under the blues name but its all good if they want to play death metal etc....just get to playin big_smile

Re: Joe's Interviews

- The past two years saw releases from a variety of Bonamassa side projects, namely the hard rock band Black Country Communion, jazz funk outfit Rock Candy Funk Party and a third album of covers in collaboration with Beth Hart. He still gives precedence to solo album production, however.

-"When I’m making a solo album I usually clear the deck pretty much for a year,” he says. “So I’m not working on anything else other than that for about a year.”

... “My thing, consciously, is I want to make less records, but spend more time on making sure every verse means something. I’ve gone through a very prolific phase and I’d like to scale it back and make it so we’re not making an album every year. I don’t want to do that."
