thanks reo.
i have been trying to follow Joe's instagram so had seen his posts there but the lespaul foum stuff is interesting
of course i am mostly just interested in the stories because of being a Joe fan more than LP fan. he sure has gotten me interested though...not something i have much brain room left to use on learning but it is interesting and with this latest...to me a whole other subtopic with the restoration angle.
That forum though drives me nuts a little...besides that one obnoxious boob avatar the one guy has....you can't search a lot in the forum without being registered but i did click some links and found the site that has the Burst Serial log.
only scratching the surface but I am finding out that there are more than i thought...i mean i hadnt really given it much thought but mostly looked at only Joe's collectibles and ones he has mentioned.
and i kind of remember that he had gone in with Charlie? and/or others on some of them...this thread makes it sound like it was a mutual investment although Joe's comments didn't indicate that expressly...not that that matters to me
i'm just rambling....Joe and the others there have such knowledge...my extent is just knowing what Joe shirts were available 15 years ago lol and various collectibles I used to search on ebay for all the time. lol but i daydream time to time...what if i find something at a yard sale...that could be a fake but if the person thinks its worth something but doesn't know how much...would i be able to tell so could make some great score...my one brother buys and sells stuff, mostly makes money on record albums...he knows a lot about that so can go in a thrift store and know right away what he can make money n or a good chance etc. blahblah but anyway i often dream about finding some old burst that someone had in an attic and didnt think to look into....but most of the time I fantasize about finding a cd bargain bin and scoring a SILT with ANDY live dvd release....but fun to follow joe's safari stories
ANYWAY, that LP forum...driving me nuts also...they are asking what is its name...don't they read Joe's instagram lol. i think he is calling it Red Redemption Burst...very fitting and cool IMO...i want to go there and post it but don't want to register there as i would feel like a poser and don't have much else to contribute. i wouldn't be surprised if he changes the name though like he did with the one he called Big Al which i think now is the Bosco burst or somethin
BTW congrats on the ten years on that forum Joe....genuinely but also a ugghhh cause its been so long since he's been here...but super grateful to be able to read his posts there when someone links them up (or i have found thru internet search time to time) and mostly appreciate all his instagram posts
of course my favorite burst is Principal Skinner...because of the pin connection...then i would say the one he played Song Of Yesterday on BCC LOE - i think was Magellan...thats the first time i felt like i could tell even the slightest about the tone quality
and yeah wow what a year for Joe on these things and if anyone out there that has one they think he may be interested in...you could contact his office thru this site...i get a kick out of him being the go to guy for this stuff although i am sure many brokers would approach him first but if you just cleaned out Grandpa's closet and don't know where to start...Joe won't rip you off BUT he is also limiting his collecting somewhat
and because he and whatever partners involved are doing so much more than collecting these pieces of history
