Going back a ways to "From Nowhere in Particular" for my listening while I work out. "Bridge to Better Days" and "Jango/Just Got Paid" are just awesome live.
Reminds me that he didn't become fantastic overnight....he has been there for a while.
"I Know Where I Belong" from Liverpool. My favorite version maybe because I turned 50 on that day. Love that song. Wish he played it more, but glad I got to see it at all.

Black Night and When She Dances
Road trip:
Tour de Force Live From Royal Albert Hall. Love the acoustic part there so much. Dust Bowl is perfection. Amazing album!
Live From the Greek Theatre - haven't listened for it for a while - so went right back to inner screaming "this is so good, this is so good, this is so good!.."
Sloe Gin... what can I say. So special. Jelly Roll, Black Night ( sobs...), Richmond (that voice... that music...), Around the Bend - secretly hoping to hear it live someday
I'm listening to Sloe Gin. Just got done with "Drive", "Distant Lonesome Train", and How Deep this River Flows. Saw Joe in San Antonio at the second show on Sunday. He was amazing as usual but I was left wanting. He played mostly newer blues/rock songs and I heard not one from Blues of Desperation or from the Greek Theater DVD. I saw an interview with his parents in which his dad said that Joe wants to expand blues; that no genre can stay the same. I totally understand how a man with the creativity of Joe Bonamassa would get bored playing the same "type" of blues. He is a prodigy and he just has to create or become stagnant. I just hope that for the sakes of his fans like me, who prefer the blues/ballad sound, that he will bless his audience with some of the old favorites from 2015 and 2016. No matter, I will always believe that Joe is the best blues guitarist to grace planet earth in 7000 yrs. and it will probably be another 7000 yrs before another one of his caliber comes along. I LOVE YOU JOE, BUT PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT YOU ARE THE BLUES AND THE BLUES ARE YOU!! PLEASE don't leave it in the dust.

Hm... He played songs from both "Blues of Desperation" and "Greek Theater" on 5/27 show in San Antonio TX including "How Deep This River Runs" that you just mentioned.
No Good Place for the Lonely, Breaking Someone's Home, Hummingbird were on the set list of that show. Strange that you didn't notice your favorite songs

I started listening to Different Shades of Blue all the way through, as an album, for the first time in a while. I forgot how great it is. Some of his best songwriting, imho, and his solos are full of fire. I really like the album all the way through. Definitely in my top 5, not sure why I hadn't listened to it in a while. Just too much other music I guess.
watching Joe's Youtube video ( yes, again, only seen it a 100 times )

Black Coffee.
Stronger Now in Broken Places - when I listened to this song for the first time I felt like I've been stubbed in the chest. Walking around now but the knife is still there. Afraid to touch it. Can't even look at it.
With the new release what do you think I would be listening to !!
