Topic: Forgotten Gods That We Remember

Thought I'd kick off a thread about musicians that influenced our lives.
I've been on a Steely Dan kick lately and am fascinated with a video like this one.
Truly genius and but one band of hundreds I could include here,  Please share your Gods as well.

In response to Reo's post that I thought interesting, I'll share a story of playing a prank on a college suite-mate.  He was a music major at my college in opera and he liked to go through scales late at night in his room next to ours.  We'd bang on the walls to no avail from this **** until he revealed to someone his girlfriend was coming up one weekend.  We timed it perfectly by putting this song on with the speakers turned way up pointed at the phone box we shared.  The stereo was on a timer to let us get out ahead of time.  We left the window open so we could listen to the fireworks.
Needless to say he never sang scales in his dorm room again.

Great shout Gary.  I've got a couple albums by ADM and the guy is amazing.  Hearing that reminded me of Larry Coryell for some reason and an album he did with the rhythm section mentioned at the top of this thread.  I've always thought this was one of the coolest album covers.  Right up there with Andy Warhol's Velvet Underground Pink Banana, but even more amazing is the guitar on this gem.  Hendrix hadn't been gone too long when this song was recorded, but I'm sure he'd a been blown away.  I hope some of you give this a listen, you'll thank me.
