Artur Menezes

Went to LA for the album release party of Artur Menezes' new album "Keep Pushing" which was produced by Josh Smith. We first saw Artur on Joe's cruise this past February when he played with Davy during the Artist's Jam. I was impressed with his playing and once I found out that Josh was involved with his new album, figured this was definitely someone to check out further. Artur put on an incredible show. He is a very accomplished guitarist, his songs are all original, he connects well with the audience and he is a really nice guy who has a wonderful positive attitude about things. We bought the new album and it is fantastic. He and Josh did an incredible job on it. It has a great mix of song styles and really showcases Artur's talent. I highly recommend getting it. It is available now on itunes, spotify and will eventually be available on Amazon. Artur is originally from Brazil and has lived in the US now for about 2 years. He has quite the following in South America. Artur was winner of the Gibson/Albert King Award for Best Guitarist and third-place winner in the Band Category at the 2018 International Blues Challenge. At the album release show, Josh joined Artur on stage for a few songs at the end and another Brazilian, Celso Salim, also joined him as well. A bit of epic jamming took place as one might expect when you have 3 very accomplished guitarists playing together. Here is a playlist of the whole show.
