Gibson's outstanding debt is around $500 Million.  I'm sure Joe is doing just fine financially, but I doubt he has that kind of coin

I could see Joe interested in pieces of Gibson if they filed Chapter 7 and were going to sell off patents, factories, etc.  If Guitar Center folds, I think Gibson switches to Chapter 7.

Ok, I found the whole deal, but no mention of Joe. The plan is to dump the electronics line, which was killing them, and go backto making instruments.
You can move this to O/T if you wish Jane, before you start up that sander.
