Topic: John Hiatt and the Goners with Sonny Landreth

On tour now.
This is a retro tour themed on the ‘86 release of Slow Turning.
We went last night and it was outstanding! A total nostalgic love fest for the knowledgeable crowd at the feet of masters.

John came out and gave a one hour solo show, with acoustic guitars, harmonica, keys and whistling, with a bit of chit-chat mixed in, then the band with Sonny came out and did another 1 1/2 hours including encore. The set list is all period Hiatt except Landreth’s Congo Square to open the encore. These guys change guitars as much as Joe, a treat for the players.

The show sold out Belly Up (cap. about 400) in hours on the presale so get your tickets asap if they’re near.
A can’t miss gig.

Re: John Hiatt and the Goners with Sonny Landreth

Saw the same show at House of Blues Dallas last Friday night.  Actually got a complimentary general admission ticket by answering some silly HOB survey that hit my FB feed.  Good time.  John Hiatt opening for John Hiatt and the Goners.  smile
