First things first: Thank you Joe for being a super trooper and going on with the show! I don't know how you did it...I heard all good things from fans in my section (other than complaints about peeps in their row constantly getting up and down, which I will never understand ) And so sorry to read you felt worse this morning.
When I first got to work, they said, "Your favorite blues boy was close to being cancelled, he made a trip to the hospital!" I don't know where Joe got the strength to perform all those songs with no break but "the hardest working man in the business" surely applies! I was not surprised at all that the M&G was cancelled.
I was so happy to see you Coach! I don't know why I didn't think fast enough to take a picture with you. I guess having to assist fans with their seats distracted me somewhat...next time!
Joe and the Bonamassa Band performance was surely medicine to cure what ailed the rest of us! God Bless All of You
Thanks again Joe!!! You're THE BEST and I hope you are feeling better!
P.S. In my 10 years of working at the Civic Center we have never had the request for the caps to be removed from bottles of water...when my mgr asked why, the answer she got was "we don't like to hear the caps rolling around on the floor during the show" That answer absolutely cracked me up as the show is so loud you would never hear a cap rolling on the floor....but unfortunately because of this we had a flood of water all over the floor in every row Does anyone know if at recent shows in other venues have fans been throwing things at the stage? I hope not...
"I'm not nice to any guitar!"
