Topic: Des Moines, IA Show March 9, 2017

According to Joe's Twitter feed earlier today, he is feeling a little better, and says that tomorrow night's show is on like...  http://www.classicgaming.cc/classics/do … y-kong.png

I'll be sitting in seat A53 if anyone wants to come by and say hello!  big_smile

I will be at the show...won't know my seats until just before the meet and greet.  Glad he is feeling better and the show is still on.

Nice!

I'm coming to this show alone, so no meet & greet this time (I'll be doing that at the KC show next Monday, though). If you'd like to shake hands, A53 is almost exactly dead center stage in Row A, and you'll be able to spot me by my necktie...it will be the one I'm wearing in my avatar photo!  big_smile

I am assuming I won't be far away....If so, I will definitely stop by and say "hi".  I will be with my son in law (on the left in my avatar...I'm on the right).

I'm sure I will let out some big woo hoo's and thank goodness my friends all the way from our CEO to my coworkers understand my excitement! For months now, every show I have worked someone always asks me about Joe! Great venue to work at!  PS Hope I get to chat a bit with all the peeps in my section that I know wink

Well, I'll be coming through that door tonight even if I'm not supposed to! And how nice for you to get to stand all through the show without people around you telling you to sit down...  big_smile

I know you know how big a part of my "coming to Joe" story you are, and it will be great seeing you again tonight...

Great show last night.  It was obvious Joe was sick (although he seemed to get better as the night went on)...not sure how he managed to still give a top-notch performance,  but it was (as usual) amazing.  Most people would barely be able to get out of bed, yet he rocked hard for over 2 solid hours.  Thanks Joe.

Had fantastic seats and even got to shake Coach's hand.

Re: Des Moines, IA Show March 9, 2017

First things first: Thank you Joe cool for being a super trooper and going on with the show! I don't know how you did it...I heard all good things from fans in my section (other than complaints about peeps in their row constantly getting up and down, which I will never understand sad ) And so sorry to read you felt worse this morning.

When I first got to work, they said, "Your favorite blues boy was close to being cancelled, he made a trip to the hospital!" I don't know where Joe got the strength to perform all those songs with no break but "the hardest working man in the business" surely applies!  I was not surprised at all that the M&G was cancelled.

I was so happy to see you Coach! I don't know why I didn't think fast enough to take a picture with you. I guess having to assist fans with their seats distracted me somewhat...next time!

Joe and the Bonamassa Band performance was surely medicine to cure what ailed the rest of us! God Bless All of You smile

Thanks again Joe!!! You're THE BEST and I hope you are feeling better!

P.S.  In my 10 years of working at the Civic Center we have never  had the request for the caps to be removed from bottles of water...when my mgr asked why,  the answer she got was "we don't like to hear the caps rolling around on the floor during the show"   That answer absolutely cracked me up as the show is so loud you would never hear a cap rolling on the floor....but unfortunately because of this we had a flood of water all over the floor in every row sad    Does anyone know if at recent shows in other venues have fans been throwing things at the stage? I hope not...
