Topic: Gibson: SG vs Les Paul (video)

Hey friends,

What model do you prefer? I had some spare time and a good friend's LP for testing...so I was tempted to play my beloved Derek Trucks SG against it and make a video of the "battle":

I think both guitars are great, but I prefer the economics (body & neck) of the SG. Sound wise it's hard to say, they are close, but I feel the SG being a little more direct.

Let me know what you think and what your experiences are.

Great comparison video! Since I have never played an SG I can't speak to the playability, but I definitely prefer the look and tone of the Les Paul. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

SG was was my first good guitar......so I'm partial to them.....
