Topic: Music festivals question

I'm hoping that those of you who are frequent general admission music festival attendees could tell me how early I should go to get in line before the gates open in order to get a good location to watch the show.

Re: Music festivals question

My only advice is get there early and try to be center stage...or slightly to the left!!!

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

Re: Music festivals question

The only one I go to has the main stage front area fenced and reserved for the platinum and gold ticket purchasers. They get in first before GA.
Good luck

Thanks, for your input.  The show is Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck.  There are also reserved seating and the GA is for the lawn.  I'm thinking we'll get there 2 hours before the gates open.

That will probably be enough. Good luck, it sounds like a great concert.

Re: Music festivals question

The biggest festivals I have been to have been the Wannee Festival in Florida, put on by the Altman Bros.  Approx. 30,000 people. The front 25% near the stage was always packed.  You could not sit down or barely move.  The folks that were up there looked like they were having a great time, but that was not for me.  What I liked was to be about half way back.  The sound was still good and you could move around if you wanted.  For my wife and I, it was the whole atmosphere along with great music that makes a music festival such a unique experience.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.
