Topic: Great M.Bloomfield 3-part doco
Came across this three-part video documentary earlier today, just working my way through it now. There's some fantastic stuff in there if you're in any way an MB fan (even if not it's still worth checking out). I became aware of him around 25yrs ago; 'Live at the Old Waldorf' and his 1964-1969 'Essential Blues' were two of the first albums I ever bought after seeing some of his other recordings in my Dad's record collection. Inspirational stuff when you're 13, gave me as big a thrill as when I discovered Hendrix a year or two later.
Anyhow, Mike would have had his 73rd Birthday a couple of days ago so I thought it fitting to post this up. Truly one of the blues greats.
