Topic: PM's broken on the forum?!?

I know that PMs (Personal Messages) has always been flaky on this forum, but today I was checking my emails when I noticed that someone had sent me a PM from here.  I got the email notification OK, but when I logged onto the forum to double check and reply, there was NO indication that anyone had sent me a PM.

The 'PM' link on the top right was not bolded, and when I clicked on it anyway, the PM in question was not in the list.  Tried several times over the morning, but nothing.

It was pure coincidence that I saw the email notice, because all of my email from various forums is usually routed into a separate folder that is full of noise.  I just happened to see this one in the pile, luckily.

Be nice if the PM feature was beefed up or improved...

Devan, I have heard of several other members whose PMs never come through.

I have had a different problem with PM.  The PM choice (to the right of e-mail) under my avatar has disappeared, but it happened a long time ago, not connected with this recent change.  Asked the office and they said they could see it, but I never do on here.  Anyone see it?

May be better that way anyway because I think in general sending an e-mail is more reliable.
