Topic: King's X

Well, I've just started listening to this band. Have been aware of them, but never heard any of their music or saw them live. Have listened to the first 4 albums so far, and they're awesome!! Definitely a unique band that doesn't sound like anyone else, and none of the songs sound the same. Great singing and playing!!

Re: King's X

Hi bluesdeluxe25.  Interesting timing that you would post this today as I literally just saw King's X live for the 11th time last night.  It was a great show as usual and the band is still in top form.  Took a couple King's X newbies with me and they both absolutely loved it.  Have followed the band since their first album came out in the 80's. They continue to put out great music and display their incredible musicianship.  The band did a meet and greet after for anyone interested and were great to talk to as well.  Sounds like you are working their way through the entire catalog which is great, but if you need any recommendations on their music let me know.  Highly recommend catching them live if you have the opportunity.

Re: King's X

Great band and generally considered underrated in their prime time.
I would also recommend dUG Pinnicks solo album Poundhog
And his more recent projects PGP
and KXM

Your rock candy baby
Your hard sweet and sticky

Both of those are awesome.  There's a new KXM album in the works, too, which I'm very excited about.

I like some King's X stuff, but I haven't listened enough to say I'm a big fan.  I am a big fan of dUG Pinnick though.  Great voice, great bassist, great writer.
