MI announced the Joe Bonamassa Torch Bearer Scholarship, sponsored by Joe's Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation ... a $35K tuition credit awarded to a student who demonstrates overall outstanding musicianship, advanced skills, and the potential for developing a unique sound on the guitar ...

and I liked how George had the Bonamassa pronounciation so well.

Helen and I had a nice long chat and visit with Lenny while he was fishing in the Mississippi before the show in Davenport, Ia. We talked about our mutual love of the sport and exchanged tips.
Again here in San Diego with him and his lovely wife when he convinced the ticket window my claim for free tickets that had fallen in the cracks was valid.
A very cool dude. A huge musical talent!

Coldest week in my life. Got walking pneumonia.

It was so funny watching all the unprepared southerners/west coasters in the freezing cold.  I brought long johns and wore them all week - and ask Sandy or Liz - they don't sell them in London.

Thanks for posting those, Sam! Great videos! Wow, you can really notice how far Joe's vocals have come when watching this older stuff. Would love to hear him do "Taking The Hit" now with a stronger voice. Was looking at the channel that these came from. Looks like the guy who recorded the shows passed away last year, but his family is keeping the channel going. Nice of them to do that.
