Topic: JB Les Paul with Steinberger tuners

Was watching this video from the cruise of Joe playing "Blues Of Desperation" - (you lucky people!!)

Anyway, noticed the LP Joe's playing has the Steinberger tuners that were fitted to some modern LPs last year and the year before.
What do you think of them Joe compared to Grovers?
Heard mixed feelings about them on regular Les Pauls.

Are they the same as Firebird tuners?

although both are "banjo" type tuners they are different than the ones he has on his Gibson Bonabird.
