Nils Lofgren - Fame at Last!

Great to see Nils Lofgren has been honored in this years Classic Rock Magazine Awards for his 'Outstanding Contribution'.

Not before time. I've been following his career and buying his music for over 40 years. He has never stopped experimenting, learning or providing us with his wonderful music.

He remains, for me. once of the most inspiring guitarists I have ever seen and trust me, I've seen him a lot. He is one of the first rock guitarist icon figures I ever saw go unplugged and at that first unplugged gig (I think it was at the Theatre Royal Haymarket) he started talking to the audience and telling the stories about the songs and since then he has never stopped! He is engaging, and a riveting performer on either acoustic or electric guitar, piano, accordion, banjo, pedal steel and more recently the Harp!

So pleased for you Nils.......fully deserved award. As your song says..."Don't let the sun set on this boy yet"
