Monica DiFalco in the hospital

So sad,

Monica DiFalco was found in a coma at the bottom of an off-ramp off
Hwy 4 @ 2AM Monday Oct 15th. A good-samaritan big-rig truck driver
saw the lights from her motorcycle, took the next exit & circled back
around to find her & called 911. Originally, she was in a coma at
John Muir WC,Ca.

As of Fri Oct 19th she was moved out of the ICU. (Yes, she's awake)
She has three broken ribs, broken collarbone, puntured lung and brain
swelling/head injury. Monica is still in pretty bad shape, including
partial paralysis on her left side, though that seems to be improving
daily. Weaving a tapestry of curse words from her hosp-bed encourages
all that her fighting spirit is strong! Go Monica Go!

Monica DiFalco is a gifted vocalist, spirited front person and
has been a Bay Area favorite in clubs for 15+ years.
Monica's last gig was at Petars in Lafayette a few weeks ago with
Jimmy's All-Star Showcase (Jimmy/Drums, Jerry Smith/Bass, Felix
Bannon/Guitar) WOW! What a show that was!!!!! Whew!
She is expected to resume her newly formed, pet BAND project
"The BETTY Rockers" as soon as she is able.
