"Rock ON & Keep the Faith"

Re: Music News - Nice review of Muddy Wolf/Red Rocks

I have not seen video of the entire show as yet, although I have seen the individual songs that have been released over the past number of weeks.
Having been there, I can say that it was an absolutely stunning performance live. I thought the tie-ins to the old clips of Muddy and Wolf were pretty compelling as lead-ins to Joe's versions.
Although I was never a huge fan of brass, it has really grown on me since RAH 1. Loved it as part of this show...they looked like they were having a blast.

Saw the PBS broadcast this morning which I DVR'd last night. I was there as well as being in London for the RAH '09 and knew both shows were special live. The capture of both performances are equally as good and I think in many ways will change Joe's career as drastically. RAH with Eric Clapton guesting led to the Palladia airing and PBS airings. Now the PBS exposure is without a doubt the biggest reason Joe has become a star in the US. This set and show will not only add to his popularity it will drag the blues along with it. Kudos to Joe and his team for doing the blues a service and dragging it kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

Maybe even quell the old school haters? Nah. Wishful thinking. Fantastic for Joe!
