So I just picked up the new Litho and am thinking about trading in the tickets for the Red Rocks show but I already have row 25 and thinking of selling the ones I have. It seems like litho tickets are getting better seats now but wanted to see what some of you thought.

Seats are not assigned you will pick them up at will call. My past experience has been tickets have been not great from litho purchases. But then again it seems to be at hock you need to get lucky. But I think what happens is if you get to will cal first you will get the best seats. The last show at Boston I was at the window first at will call and they handed me two 2nd row pit. I then handed them off to a very happy couple who could not believe they got pit seats. So do not assume they will be front row.

What Ron said is true. There is great variability on guest of artist seats. I've traded in credits for a number of seats and never had better than row 12 center. I've heard of much worse, even upper balcony. I understand it depends on the venue. For instance, the shows here in San Diego for the 3 Kings are at a venue that reserves the center front 10 rows for special packages with rooms included. There was a big block of seats presold for a PBS promotion as well so those were probably behind the front block. I got a pair of those and don't know where they are yet.  If some of the premium deals go unsold, there might be a chance of very good seats, but it's a crap shoot. I know J&R have been trying to get better lately but it is still an unknown.

Fan pack passes got me row 21 at the Muddy Wolf red rocks show. I don't know if lithograph purchases get better passes than the fan pack dvd/bluray sets.

I got 2nd row last year using some, but as others have said, it's luck of the draw.
