Joe died today at the age of 70 after losing a battle with lung cancer.

May God rest his soul.

He used to drink in our local pub the Waggon and Horses in Sheffield (Think I was 16 at the time), just after GBWALHFMF and he always had an entourage of gorgeous women with him. A normal guy off stage and a great talent on. I too didn't know he was ill. A great loss. This is a BBC tribute by Paul McCartney today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-30582085
