Topic: Who's going to Youngstown this Sat. Nov. 22?

Hellooo.  Have been speaking with some other fans and Kay R. made the final decision to have the pre-show meet-up at Martini Bros., 110 Federal Plaza West, Zip 44503, 330/744-7683.  It is supposed to be ~ 5 blocks from the Covelli Center.  But we will have to bundle up for the weather.

Kay R. and Paul (only on Facebook, not on Forum), Mike and Sherry (mditurno), myself and hopefully Vonnie (after her M&G) will be there.  No special time, maybe around 5:00-ish.  We have reservations under the name "Roberts".

Rogue, you going? Whirlwind? Hogsniper? Airportdon?  Anyone interested in joining, please let us know and we can increase the reservation.

Columbus on Thursday, Youngstown on Saturday.  Best week ever!  big_smile

Yep....my wife and I are going....not sure what time we are leaving.

I will also be at the columbus show......this show i will be with my son....I can't wait.

Looking forward to the show tomorrow (correction, this evening).  A bit apprehensive about the arena setting and how the sound will work.  I think it's half-house.  The way Joe is going, he will have to be playing at football stadiums soon?  Ehhhhh.

Another terrific show!  How blessed us fans are to have Joe in our lives.

Venue was large arena, no idea how many in attendance, anyone have a guess?  Many seats were occupied even up to the rafters.  No problem with sound at all, the mix was right on.  Thanks to Sherry, we had great seats in second and third rows.  Kinda funny, when Joe began to play Django, a fan sitting next to us started saying how that was his all-time favorite song of Joe's and that he would pay to come and hear just that piece, all the while talking over the whole thing!  Ugh.

Pre-meet was so fun with Sherry and Mike (dturno), Kay & Paul Rader (known Joe since Bloodline!), Vonnie and two of her friends from the Cleveland Blues Society George and Terry.  Said hi to airportdon and the Mrs. and their guests.  Sorry Spidey, didn't run into Melissa/Dean.  Wouldn't it be nice to have everyone in the audience introduce themselves so we would know who the Forum/BonaNation folks are?

Enjoying the afterglow but having withdrawal symptoms, with next show 6 whole months away!

Sally....my wife and I were in row 5...center stage.

She usually is not a big fan of the electric guitar....but even she came away totally amazed.

I had the time of my life this weekend....catching the columbus and youngstown shows.

I just wish they would have staggered the seats at youngstown, so nobody would be directly in front of you....like the palce theatre was.

Great performance.......Glad the weather was good and did not have any snow or freezing rain to and from last night....

Sounds like a grand evening .. thanks for the review ..

Sally: Perhaps as a gesture, after Joe introduces the band ..
He can look to the crowd and ask, "Where are my forum and BonaNation family". smile

Would take all of 10 seconds .. they stand, wave to Joe, allowing time for each of us to look around to see our Brothers and Sisters big_smile

Hi Whirl, not aware of anyone who posted vids from Youngstown, but Natasha filmed the entire Columbus show two days before.  See that thread.  Hope to finally meet you one of these days.

Someone posted videos of the Youngstown concert on youtube...I watched some before work this morning.

I just wanted to say thank you in case it was anybody here from the forum, that posted them.

I loved the Youngstown show just as much or more than Columbus, because my wife and I were 5th row...center stage.....good lord i felt like I was right there with Joe....it was just amazing and his guitar work gave me goosebumps.

Even better than that.....my wife has never been a fan of electric guitar solo's....not sure why....just not her cup of tea.

when Joe was playing his guitar solo's....i would glance over at my wife and more than once, she had her mouth open and was shaking her head back and forth from side to side......she just colud not believe what she was seeing......heck....I was the same way....seeing Joe do that live and from that close is such a wonderful experience.

My wife had such a good time...she is ready to go see him again, and she was not all that pumped up to see him.....she was just going for me, because i wanted to see him.....although she really does love his acoustic stuff.

Anyway....I am thrilled to death as I think she has become a bigger fan by seeing him play.

This was truly one of my best weekends in the last 20 years.....getting to see Joe twice in one week....once with my son and then with my wife.

I will have to travel farther to see him next year....but I will be up for it.  smile

By any chance did anyone capture a photo of the giant billboard with Joe on it?

My co-worker passed through Youngstown the day AFTER the show. She made her son and husband stop the car and get out to take a photo with the billboard as she knows I love Joe.  My co-worker proceeded to tell me that when they got back in the car that her son had managed to take a shot of her husbands head and missed the billboard completely.  Hilarious!
