Hey everyone! First time poster, long time reader of the board. This Cincinnati show was my 5th time seeing Joe and he sounded better than ever.  Band was tight as well. Really good acoustics in this building! However, I have complete opposite feeling than most do in this post. I always feel the crowd at these shows are much too reserved and quiet. It's a blues/rock show, not an Opera! So what if people want to express themselves through occasionally yelling out or actually "feeling" the music. And God forbid someone has a few cocktails and actually are having a good time. I find it more annoying when people shush someone or tell someone to sit down, which I heard someone do to a lady who was having a good time and enjoying the music, then someone yelling out "Joe".  Most of the crowd was acting like the Cincinnati Pops was in the buiding, or at a funeral for that matter. The crowds are boring at these shows and that takes away the fun for me.  Maybe it's the older generation attending these shows and the lack of younger fans attending. I not young at 43, but everyone else had a good 10 years on me it seems.  I don't understand the lack of young fans. Maybe they are afraid they will be told to "shut up" at a at a blues/rock show. It's just wierd to me. Still love Joe, but sure wish some of his fans would loosen up a little! Rock on everyone!  But just do it quietly!

Welcome, I have to say I couldnt disagree more. People give up their hard earned money to enjoy Joes music, not to hear some loudmouth yelling all night. I have no problem with people having a few adult beverages and enjoying themselves, but not at the expense of others. Some people just take it too far and dont know when to shut up. Its all about respecting those around you. I certainly dont need crowd reaction to enjoy a concert, so a restrained audience is not boring to me, I'm there for the music.

First and foremost thank you Joe for tossing me your slide! Please know your kind gestures and the generous giving of your time to your fans is just one of the many things that makes you the best and sets you apart from the rest!

My first time at Cincinnati Music Hall, beautiful venue and the sound was fantastic. Can't say the same for parking. I was there nearly a half hour early, and from what I had  scoped out on the website I thought parking was going to be a breeze with 3 lots listed, a line to get in one lot stopped in traffic asked the officer directing traffic where the next lot was sounded like around the corner it was about a block away and a stop light to get there was stuck on red! Finally got parked and in the door, of course not even close to our seats. I just hate missing any part and sorry to Joe and the band no disrespect to you, we were trying! My nearest, dearest friend was with me, her first time seeing Joe,  she was blown away.

If I understand correct, and please do not hesitate to correct me if I am wrong, this will be the last tour with the acoustic opening set, if so I will definitely miss seeing these guys and I would hope there will someday be a reunion tour! World class musicians that you can definitely tell have fun making great music together doesn't get any better than that. My 3rd time seeing Happier Times acoustic, it was on my wish list and I will never get tired of this arrangement,  Gerry's fiddle playing , and Derek's keys are perfect for this song.

Hey Baby/Oh Beautiful is perfect to open the electric set, I love the song, really showcases Joe's vocals.  Got my other wish for Double Trouble on this set list, loved this song in Colorado, so much fun, can't wait to have this on the Red Rocks dvd.  Lovin' the extended version of Love Ain't a Love Song Joe's solo on this was unreal once he got the obnoxious guy to shut up and Derek's,  Tal & Lenny's solos were killer as well. Tal & Lenny playing off each other are so entertaining to watch! This BOJH for obvious reasons will forever and always be my favorite one. Loved the slide in place of the theremin  in Colorado nice to see it stayed the same for the tour.  I chair danced and sang to myself  as if I was in my own little world.  Our seats were metal folding chairs and I realized at one point the chairs were so close I might be messing up the guy next to me photos. I had to make sure I was watching so I could sit still when he was ready to take pics!

Natasha when we spoke at intermission you said there was a lot of drama going on I had no idea it was that bad. Glad they were able to get her taken care for the 2nd half of the show.  I do think alcohol is a big part for some of the obnoxiousness. I go to concerts with the philosophy that the guy next to me paid for his little space same as me and as long as he's not being overly obnoxious I can deal with it but sometimes you just gotta' do what you gotta' do especially if they are ruining it for multiple people. In a similar conversation in one of the FB groups I said I was glad told him to shut up. The guy wasn't just yelling out Joe's name or a whoo hoo, he was yelling in whole sentences and you couldn't tell what he was saying not only did he yell it once he just kept saying it he needed to be "sshhhh'd"   In my opinion Joe has earned and deserves the respect of the audience to be quiet during the solos, if you're not quiet you're not going to hear those fingers bend those strings only the way Joe can. I get people will yell and whoop but there are certain moments when you just don't.  That's my favorite part of watching him play I was glad he told him to shut up. I don't pay the $$ for a ticket to hear someone yell out so they can hear their own voice and think it's all about them. Joe is a perfectionist and he wants everyone to hear that vibrato after all that's what we're paying him to do and how he earns his living. I don't like distractions when I'm working I'm sure he doesn't either.

All in all an amazing show, cannot thank Joe, the band, the crew and the team behind the scenes at J & R that  keep Joe "Always on the Road" and continuously putting on the best live shows in the business. And huge thanks to superfans Natasha and Phil for being there when they can to record it! You guys rock smile
