Went to the Palais show last night - FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Finally got to see some of the band from the Vienna shows (Derek, not Arlen on keyboards).  When you first arrive at the gig you see 8 acoustic guitars arranged in a semi circle behind a seat.  Joe and the band played eight songs all with a guitar change between songs!

You know you are in for a real treat when Joe opens up with great rendition Woke up Dreaming, just to get the fingers and audience warmed up.  The songs they played sound fantastic live - what a great sound the band generate.  I was very impressed with Happier Times, a song not on the acoustic album.

Short intermission followed, then the electric band fire up. Lenny Castro joining Derek, Tal and Carmine on stage, adding extra depth to the percussion section.

The band looked to be having a lot of fun on stage playing a good selection of well known songs as well as a couple from DSOB which seemed to go over well with the appreciative audience.

As with most of Joe's shows it is over before you know it - mind you he could not play all the songs I wanted to hear in the time allowed!!
