It basically said that SW's has always been pretty full of himself, and that the skills of a caddie were overrated in terms of their influence on winning a tournament. Everybody out there knows the yardage within inches, everyone knows which way the greens break, and that the caddies biggest challenge is carrying a heavy bag in extreme heat.
The writer basically said SW's was full of himself and for him to act as though he had anything to do with beating TW's was bullspit AND was insulting to Adam Scott.
The author of the article caddied for a long time and said he knew what he was talking about.I never caddied, but I have to agree.
Bill - Have you ever looked up the words jealous or jealousy? That writer is practically oozing it. I 100% disagree with him and will say with absolute certainity that a professional's caddie figures alot more than someone carrying a bag in the heat. Those comments are pathetic.
I never detected the jealousy thing, but maybe it's there. Im not trying to criticize caddies, but as far as I'm concerned, as long as the caddie is not swinging a club, he's a minor impact at best. When Tiger or Jack were at their peaks, I'm guessing they would have won with ME carrying their bag, lol.
