Topic: Joe Bonamassa on local radio

Oh wow, my husband just called me and said, THEY PLAYED JOE ON THE RADIO, WKTG, POWER ROCK OUT OF MADISONVILLE, KY.   They played Last Kiss.    Totally cool.   This is amazing for my area.  I live at the beginning of the great midwest, where Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri come together.   We get Country or Top 40.    WKTG is the exception.   This station is a huge backer for Boscoe Frane  who won the Guitar Center contest in 2012.  Just so great.  So go to their facebook page and give them a like.

That's great. I'm not in the car much but other than sports I listen to the local "classic rock" station so never heard Joe yet

That's terrific, Mary!  Does the station have a web site?  If so, I'll send them a congratulatory note!  (don't do Facebook).

Just found out this station,  WKTG, Power Rock 93.9  dedicated their lunch program today to Joe B.   They interviewed him via the phone and played several of his songs,  Athens to Athens,  Last Kiss, As the Crow Flies.  They do have a website, twitter page and facebook.  So please go like their page and thell them thank you.  So excited. Now all my friend that think I am obsessed will see it is not just me. smile

Thank you thank you thank you for playing JOE BONAMASSA yesterday, featuring him at lunch time.  Joe is just about the best blues/rock guitarist walking around today.  He has a huge all-consumed fan base that thoroughly adores him and his work.  He has been an independent thus doesn't have the usual promotional machine behind him.  He is immensely talented and a heck of a nice humble guy (truly) besides.  There is no other artist who cares more about his fans.  He has killed himself for the last 23 years and is finally getting the recognition he deserves.  He tours the globe 200 days every year, selling out 3,000-5,000 seat venues, records several albums every year, some solo and some collaberations, has released at least 5 DVDs with 5-6 more coming just from this year.  He has the all-time record with the most #1 Billboard blues albums of all time - more than his mentor BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughn!  I don't really like "the Blues" but Joe incorporates so much rock that I LOVE his work.  His playing is spectacular and his voice is totally addicting.  He is simply amazing and so many of us are rabid out-of-control fans.

CONGRATULATIONS to WKTG for recognizing his enormous talent and giving your listeners the blessing of being exposed to Joe's music.  Please please keep it coming!

Hi all!  Just returned from road trip to visit my mother in the lovely mountains of West Virginia. We were riding in her car to go visit a local park, and guess what comes on the radio? Joe  Bonamassa sing driving towards the daylight. Great little radio station groovy 94.1.  This is the second time I have heard joe on the radio when home for a visit.

That's so cool.I have yet to hear Joe on the radio.Only time I heard his music in Public was at a Whole Foods store.

That's great! I've been trying the stations in my area to play Joe and haven't heard a lick yet:( I guess I'll keep trying!
