I had to create a new ID.  Used same as the old (same email) and it had all my info when I was done.  Was kind of odd now that I think about it.  Also wondered why a new store.

That was my experience too. I had to register again. My old login was a username, and this time registration just used your email address as ID. But once I did that, it had my name and address. (Presumably because my account in the old store had that email address) The new store does not have my prior order history though.

I assume all/most/? people got the announcement email with the discount?

I am on Joe's e-mail list, and ordered my "Different Shades" CD today, but haven't seen a peep about any discount.   ???

When I tried to preorder the new cd yesterday it was a bit confusing and at first I thought I was in maybe a different store not the real one, but once I redid the username login it all worked okay and had all my info. Hope it's not turning people away from preordering the new cd. Don't know anything about an email discount.

20% discount was only for the first 24 hours of the store.  Would have ended by the time pre-sales started.

I received the email notice on the 10th about the new store and 20% discount special (Your invited to experience the Brand New Joe Bonamassa Store - Open Now!) .. but .. like u, thought it might be a hoax (why did we need a new store .. and it prolly shoulda read "You're invited .. lol) .. I waited to see if anyone mentioned it smile

I saw an increase in CD prices (a mere buck) .. but still an increase .. lol
<mumbles to self> .. dint take advantage of the 20% off .. shoulda, coulda, woulda .. lol

I had to re-register, just used the same ID. My order history was gone though. The discount was 20% off the first 24 hours of the new store launch (gone on vacation) saw it when I got back. Oh well, wouldn't of been available for pre order. Some prices up, some down. Its all good!

So, what's "brand new" about the "brand new store," aside from the apparently reset user accounts?  Guess I hadn't gone to the old one enough to remember or tell what the differences might be.

Technology moves forward, but aside from the visual refresh, my guess is that they may be using a different fulfillment vendor.

I got the 20% discount email, and spent too much money.

But now I have two TdF blu-ray sets to donate to my wife's charity (see my sig) for auction.  smile
