Topic: Joe´s worldmusic album

After reading the interview that Keith posted I´m really getting excited about that one now ...

I think it´s such a cool concept and it would really be something else again !
O.k., we all tend to shriek "WOW, THAT´S SOOO COOL!" about nearly everything that Joe does, so the term "cool" wears out a bit ....... but I mean it like I say - I´m really excited!

I hope he does it like he says in the interview - travel to other countries/continents and meet with other musicians, learn their way of playing the Blues and make it his own. And we all know that Joe has got a bit of a talent in making music sound like his own, don´t we ?! wink
I don´t know why but I immediately thought of Bob Brozman (even though his music isn´t too close to Joe´s ...) - he did that a lot ... travel here and there and adapt other people´s rhythm and style of music. I would also love to hear Joe play together with other musicians and hear what comes out if he doesn´t get the feeling that "the whole show is on his shoulders" like he said in the interview ...

I think "India" is already a little step in that direction, and I think it´s a very special song even though it was at the end of everyones list in the beginning (don´t know if some of you changed their minds about it?!) .......

So what do you think about Joe´s plans?!

Have a nice day!   Eva

Re: Joe´s worldmusic album

I"m really excited about this and can hardly wait to hear the finished product. With all the countries Joe wants to visit and record in, I wonder how long it's going to take to get this recorded?

"India" has become one of my favorites off Sloe Gin. It would be really cool to hear a more fleshed out version with Indian musicians and more Indian instruments.

I'm just saying.
