Topic: Should DVD/Blu Ray's incl digital music?

Do you think the dvd's or blu ray's should include a digital copy of the cd of the same show?  I purchased the Tour de Force Amp box set and I'm surprised the cd's weren't released at the same time of the dvd/blu ray's.

Rock Candy Funk Party DVD/BLU-RAY's include them, excepting the digital download. Price difference of $9.99 in the JB Store, so you ARE paying for the CD's.  The line between those who want them and those who don't is where the answer lies. smile

The easy answer is not necessarily the best for J & R, which would be have the option to bundle, or not to bundle available, always.  However, unless the store has it's act together 100% of the time, discriminating between various product offerings could cause difficulties and grumblings. hmm

Just cyber-thinking out loud.  I'll deal with it either way, personally. wink

They normally produced the video first, then CDs later.  There is value to sell separately.  I always do both.  You could always rip the audio if you don't like to wait.

Gives people options.  Maybe people would not want to spend what it would cost for both DVD/Cd, but now can choose one or the other.  In my case I bought the DVD's and only one of the CD's.  I like the fact that I had that option.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

Re: Should DVD/Blu Ray's incl digital music?

I´m a fan and i´m willin´ to pay for the music (a lot).
But I don´t want to pay twice...
So I use Software to seperate the audio from the Dvd.

And sometimes it´s better - Joe & Beth Cd´s are horrible, faded out EVERY song !!!

Re: Should DVD/Blu Ray's incl digital music?

certainly in the UK when you buy a CD from Amazon you get opportunity download it immediately. I always check price on Amazon v iTunes and often buy the CD but get it on my iPod within a few minutes, - CD arrives the next day.

My YouTube channel with plenty of my Joe's videos dating from 2009 inc his first Hammersmith Odeon ones:

Glad im not the only one who hated the Joe & Beth Live cd with all the fading in/out can't listen to it.

That was a bit of a bummer about the Live in Amsterdam cd's.

Fades in and out on live CDs are the worst.  The few LFNIP fades annoy me to no end.

I can understand it on the LFNIP cd...because it was pieced together from different concerts.

Re: Should DVD/Blu Ray's incl digital music?

I just got the new Tour De Force Royal Albert Hall show and it also has fade-outs. Some of these fades are 4-5 seconds long. Why on earth do that???

It changes the experience of the live cd from feeling like you were AT the show to feeling like you are simply listening to songs recorded at RAH. I cut and paste tunes to make new Joe's live cds all the time, and this does not help. I think it just started with the Amsterdam cd.

I totally agree that it spoils the experience
