Topic: Quinn Sullivan

Just watched the video of Joe playing with the young Quinn Sullivan and holy cow is that kid good! I'd never heard of him before and really hope he can make a name for himself in the music bizz cause he has some talent. It's cool to think that when Joe was 14 and 15 he was playing with his mentors such as BB King, Danny Gatton, Midnight Mike, etc..and now he is the one doing the mentoring to these aspiring musicians who look up to him. I just think that's so cool, and awesome of Joe to give back like that! Yet another reason why Joe is the man! big_smile

Link? Found one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBQxJ1W … redirect=1 Shot from pretty far back but good audio.
Quinn has been under the wing of Buddy Guy lately, touring with him a bit. Nice to see Joe continue to pay it back.

Re: Quinn Sullivan

Thanks for the link Rick! It's hard to see but the audio is great! I looked him up on Youtube as well and he's killer. His voice reminds me somewhat of Jeff Healey.

Re: Quinn Sullivan

Quinn started with Buddy when he was only 8 yrs old. Buddy was so enthused he started a label just to record Quinn smile I saw him with Buddy at Bluestock a few years back. I worried he would be made into a Buddy clone, but I have seen him develop his own style and sound since then. I'm so happy to see Joe give him stage time. Joe's always said he cares about legacy, and this is more proof. Here's more about him from this forum smile   https://forum.jbonamassa.com/viewtopic.php?id=24515

Re: Quinn Sullivan

Saw it live last night..Quinn tore it up..you can see he will go a long way like our Joe.  And the crowd just loved it...I think it was as close as a loud standing ovation as joe got at the end of the night...Great show

Re: Quinn Sullivan

I didn't see this post earlier but I have spent the last 45 minutes watching him on You Tube.  I also had never heard of him before until today.  Incredible talent, he's got a new fan in me.  And yeah, it's great to see Joe providing a stage for him to shine as well.  Keeping the Blues Alive!
