Topic: So glad Joe is Joe and not say Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne really needs a how-to guide on meet-and-greets with fans - States a News Paper Article By Soraya Roberts | Celebrity News

She may not have thrown cupcakes at them, but the way Avril Lavigne interacted with her fans at a recent meet-and-greet is still receiving plenty of criticism. The "Hello Kitty" singer reportedly charged her Brazilian fans $400 each (and that's on top of the concert ticket price) to take photos with her after a recent concert in Brazil. And the kicker? The "lucky" fans were instructed not to touch or talk to Lavigne, either.
Photos dubbed "awkward" by much of the media depict Lavigne's fans trying to make the best of the situation, smiling and leaning in as the Canadian pop star poses a respectable distance away.

Wow, those pictures are awkward! Completely oposite of what I see in every picture of Joe with his fans.

Play some cards & drink black coffee,
How I’d love to see you smile....

there is a bit more to this than just judging on what you see (or read). Brasilian society is different, it is very divided by wealth. A meet-and-greet that was open to all would dissolve to complete and utter chaos in Brasil. - However the "don’t touch” instruction is odd, - although Brasilians are very tactile.

My YouTube channel with plenty of my Joe's videos dating from 2009 inc his first Hammersmith Odeon ones:

This sort of thing isn't new.

Check out Paul Stanley's site:
http://www.paulstanleyguitars.com/

You can buy a guitar that was played AT the concert you went to, plus M&G for a price.
You can even buy the guitar that Paul Stanley breaks at the end of the show for a price.

A smashed guitar for $5500 and a played guitar for $8500... Not!

At that price: I think I could afford a Skinner Burst and have Joe sign that at a meet'n'greet... that would be special.

+1 all the way... smile

Back to Avril - It is sad when artists forget who provided the $$$ to give them the life they now lead.  I am guessing she has spent too long being coddled by the music executives and has forgotten that the fat royalty cheques she receives are made up of lots of everyday people working hard to save money to buy her albums and concert tickets...

Joe has been great whenever I've seen him with fans.  The one meet and greet I had he was VERY friendly especially when I had a Gibson Flying V (Duncan signature pickups installed) signed he was effusive asking how I liked the pickups compared to the originals. Posed for numerous photos both signing the V and with me.

And I'm a huge Gov't Mule fan. I've met them and especially Warren Haynes more than a few times and they always have time to chat.  Same for Derek Trucka
