Topic: JB Seymor Duncan Pickup Question

I just aquired a JBLP Std Goldtop, new. The ad stated it had the Joe Bonamassa Seymor Duncan pickups. I know the pickups sold as boxed sets are "aged" but the pickups on my guitar are new looking. The question is are all of them aged, or does my guitar not have the JB SD pickups? They look the same, PAF's,  just not aged. I know I could pull one out and look at the back, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks

The 400 limited JBLP Standards came with the S Duncan pickups installed in them...you should be good to go...
.
Did you get the signed pickguard, Cd's & sunglasses as well ?

Thanks for the info, still a bit confused on the whole "aged" thing. It did come with a mail in form to claim my "merchandise" hopefully that works out as well!

Thank again,
Rusty

Re: JB Seymor Duncan Pickup Question

They come with the SD pickups, just not with the aged covers as they do in the sets of individual pickups. It has more gain than the my custom shop model, the Studio or the Epi models. Sounds great. Pull the covers and you'll see them.

It took maybe a month after mailing in the card to get the CDs, sunglasses and signed pick guard.

JBLP (aged) 293, JBLP STD, JB ES-335, JBLP Studio, JBLP Goldtop Epi, JBLP Inverness Green Epi.

Thank you jddarden, that explains it. I was thinking that was the answer but wasn't sure. The CD collection and pickguard is a nice bonus for sure, and I could use some cool new shades.

Thanks again,
