Re: 2nd Annual Joe Bonamassa Tournament of Champions

This was another extremely competitive final 4. But we have our final 2! Led Zeppelin defeated Pink Floyd 13-8. And in a barn-burner, Jimi edges The Beatles 11-10.

So that brings us to our final: Led Zeppelin vs Jimi Hendrix. Voting ends Tuesday April 8 at 11 pm CST. Happy voting!

It's been fun doing this, but it's a predictable final pair. Can I make a suggestion, Deezer? If you feel inclined to do this again next year, how about having a JB Hall of Fame? Jimi and Led Zep could be inducted based on this year's and last year's vote and therefore left out of future polls. We could then vote to decide who should join them on the lofty pedestal. Just a thought!

Thanks for taking the time to do this Deezer.Although the final was a rematch there were some different bracket match ups and results this year in the lower rounds.
Gmac put out the idea of changing things up which may not be a bad idea.i also had an idea of doing  favorite othe artist albums.Or favorite Joe Songs.
This is a lot fun but at some point the last couple rounds may be the same each year.

Jimi Hendrix

I support the JB Hall Of Fame idea as well as a voting concerning the favourite Joe songs he ever performed. To tell the truth I would prefer the last proposal.

Another option were to make a poll about one or more cover songs Joe should take in his next CD or set list. I suggest Gary Moore's  " As The Years Go Passing By" for the next Spring Tour 2015. ( Perfect for  a collaboration with the horn section and giving room for a keyboard solo by Arlan / Derek ). Just a thought. I wonder h o w he would perform and interpret this wonderful masterpiece of music!

That's a great idea!

Really hard to choose, but I'm going... Hendrix.
