*Don't need a helmet to get me through life.

*Diamonds and pearls, she's that type of girl.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

Been down to the quarry

To be perfectly honest .. without question ..

I’m sure u’ve found a place up there
Where we could all sit and talk a while
Play some cards and drink black coffee
How I’d love to see u smile

If I get to heaven now
Oh I’m prayin that I do
It’ll be the first thing I do
I’ll tap an angel on the shoulder
.. and I’ll be asking around for u

I’ll tap an angel on the shoulder
.. and I’ll be comin home to u

ps: Yes, a sap at times .. but the question was asked ..

It is what it is .. lol cool

Devil had a daughter
Took me too deep water
Tried to kill me with a kiss
She said "hey now honey, what about the money"
I said "I don't have time for this"

But that lyric isn't by Joe! It's a cover if I'm correct. I've heard Miranda Lambert doing Somewhere Trouble Don't Go aswell

I'm broke, motherf**ker!

Julie Miller (wife of Buddy Miller)  wrote  "Somewhere trouble Don't Go." And Mike Himelstein is the lyricist for "Asking around For You."  Take 2.

Walk across the water blame it on foolish pride. Well pretty much the whole song is my favorite!!

         Lifting me up
Tearing me down
All you give me is indecision
The classic run-around
Bringing me higher
Keeping me whole
Now I feel like I'm living

Living in a Dust Bowl

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

True...but Joe has sang the song.....even though he did not write it. Originally sang by Buddy Miller.

If covers do not count.....I can just replace it  smile

I say hey now ,knocked down ,why'd you do it
Roll me like a hurricane
All is a bust , and I'm numb like novicaine.

So funny that this was my second choice!!

I've been gone a long time
Lost in the seven seas.
Sail on, don't you come back
Until you learn the birds and the bees.
Who will you find waiting for you,
Squeeze blood in the wine.
Left to call my preacher
And my very lovely wife.
I said, hey now, knocked down, why'd you do it,
Roll me like a hurricane.
All is a bust and I'm numb, like novocaine.
Who done it, what's up, you said,
Sell me out why don't you boy,
I'm alone, severely broken,
I'm a dislocated boy.

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

Kewl .. thanks for the info .. obviously an error on the insert for the "You & Me" disc.

I have a fine tip red marker. I'll circle Joe's name on the song credit, mark and "x" thru it .. will look like Dennis Friel did it himself .. lol

Have an awesome day eh! cool

My personal favorite...

Who was wrong and
who was right and
do we even know why we were fighting

Those words speak directly to so much wasted time in my youth.

***Especially the verse that is in bold    cool

When The Fire Hits The Sea

I'm no candle that can be blowing out in the wind
I'm no suffering like the game I'm in
I'm no street walker, I got fire and brimstone
Sorry to disturb you and your happy home

All bets are off now when the fire hits the sea
I'm gonna lay it on you, child, bring it all to me

I'm no penny pusher, I still have my pride
I did you wrong, baby, took you for a ride
I'm no Rosetta Stone, I learned my lessons
By the way, baby, thank you for the sessions

All bets are off now when the fire hits the sea
I'm gonna lay it on you, child, bring it all to me

I'm no carpet you can walk all over
When I say it's done, baby, I mean it's over
I don't know a bottle not filled with wine
And I moved down to the quarry and I did my time

All bets are off now when the fire hits the sea
I'm gonna lay it on you, child, bring it all to me

Bring it all on, when the fire hits the sea
