Topic: RCFP DVDs faulty

I'm just returning my second Rock Candy Funk Party takes New York DVD to Amazon.  Neither would play either in my DVD player or on my computers.  Anybody else had any problems.  I'm wondering if Amazon got a bad batch or something.

Make sure what you have is marked for DVD. If its marked for Blu-Ray it won't play in a DVD player or a computer.

I have the DVD version and didn't experience any problems.

i think these dvd/blu rays might be a new format, mine didnt play on my old blu ray player, i wound up getting a new one and it works fine

It's not one disc that is DVD and Blu Ray at the same time, that makes no sence. It's 1 Blu ray and 1 DVD

We got the blu-ray and our player is a few years old and it worked fine, no problems.

Interesting.  I've thrown all sorts of blu-ray DVDs at my Sony player and my computer and never had a problem before.  I've just ordered the regular DVD (not blu-ray) and we'll see how that does.  Was kinda reluctant to do so as they are both the same price (up until now blu-ray has usually been more expensive).  Fingers crossed this works!  I've been looking forward to watching this and now been disappointed two times!

My RCFP DVD plays great - and I really like seeing Joe with this lineup. I did not like funk/jazz/fusion much when it was out in the 70's - but I love the music on this. Tal did a great job on the production and sound!

You shouldn't call Blu Ray discs "Blu Ray DVDs", it will confuse you a lot.  DVDs are one kind of discs and Blu Rays are other.

You can play DVDs on Blu Ray players but you cannoy play Blu Rays on a DVD player.
