Topic: Clouds on Walter's Horizon

Some of you know me , it's a long time since I posted .

I'd like to ask you to take a moment to read this , then the link , then examine your heart , and then , maybe your wallet . ( You too , Joe )

I know how kind and generous many of you are .

I've been sent a link this morning by Donna .  I'm saddened and upset to read this and I know many of you will feel the same .

We've all spent more than we can afford to get the merchandise , get the tickets , the hotel stays , this time last  year it was flights to London for some of you . On a more regular basis , some of us spend money on pretty frivolous stuff.

It's not right that they should have to ask for our help , but maybe our community can respond and at least give some hope to Walter and his family .

I was so sorry to be the one to share this sad news with you, Jeff.  I thought surely you knew of Walter's health problems a while ago.  I was just struck by the sharp contrast between yours and others' wonderful photos of Walter a few  years ago, and the gaunt man who needs our help now.  Thank you for posting the link here.  There's another thread in the "Other Artists" section with the same request, with replies stating the plea is on several other music forums.  That has to be a good thing, spreading the word, and keeping the topic at the top of our minds from the bottom of our hearts...

Great musicians have a language & vocabulary that transcends the usual barriers & touches us on a more primitive , basic & yet complex level....

I too was shocked by the picture of how Walter looks now.i hope and pray he can get the liver transplant.
