Robert Cray.

Re: 2nd Annual Joe Bonamassa Tournament of Champions

You do realize that if you had voted up front that there would be no OT for these matchups? So, I don't know if Deez can count your votes in OT, but it's certainly OK with me.

Re: 2nd Annual Joe Bonamassa Tournament of Champions

The first round had a bunch of close matchups and was quite exciting to watch develop.

The Magellan Bracket
Led Zeppelin overwhelmed Bonnie Raitt 21-3. Between The Eagles and Jethro Tull, it took overtime for Tull to beat the Eagles 20-18. The Who beat Alice In Chains 21-3. Gov't Mule killed the Scorpions 20-4. Tedeschi Trucks moves on with a 16-8 victory over UFO. B.B. King beats Indigenous handily 21-3. It was a close matchup between Walter Trout and Pearl Jam, but Walter Trout pulled ahead late to win 15-9. Clapton handles Kenny Neal 21-3.

The Principal Skinner Bracket
Pink Floyd wins easily over Michael Jackson 22-2. John Mayer and the Red Chili Peppers was a fun one. John Mayer raced out to an 7-0 lead, while the Chili Peppers came back to lead 9-8 at one point. John Mayer then turned it on late to win 13-10. In a real close one, Gary Moore sneaks by Traffic 13-11. Tom Petty vs Joe Walsh was another 13-11 score, this time in favor of Tom Petty. CSNY pulled away late to get by Dire Straits 14-10 in what was a back-and-forth affair. Foo Fighters jumped to an early lead, and were able to hold off Judas Priest 14-10. Bad Company wins a wild one over Buddy Guy 13-11. Lynyrd Skynyrd beats John Fogerty 18-6.

The Babe Bracket

In a mild upset, Free defeats CCR 15-9. in a very back-and-forth battle, Black Sabbath overpowers Robin Trower 14-10. The Beatles handle Ronnie Baker Brooks easily 20-4.

The Goldie Bracket
Jimi Hendrix dominated Doyle Bramhall II 24-0. Aerosmith beats Bob Seger 15-9. Neil Young scoots by Fleetwood Mac 13-10. Queen defeats Nirvana 17-7. Robert Cray and Santana went to overtime, and in the closest match of the first round, eeks by Santana 20-19. The Rolling Stones beat the Police 18-6. In another really close one, Jeff Beck comes back from 3 down to beat Kenny Wayne Shepherd 13-11. And ZZ Top handles BTO easily, cruising to a 23-1 victory.
