There certainly is more and more hope for younger age brackets to appreciate Joe, but I think the boomers are his biggest fans because of what bob said...we grew up with the greats of rock and loved it.  My 24 year old daughter has zero appreciation of any of that music.  She grew up with rap.........  So they don't make the connection between all those fabulous influences on Joe's music.

I couldn't wait for daughter to hear Just Got Paid live and it was a ho-hum reaction!  Oh my lord, how could this be?????  On the other hand, she loved Seagull and Mt. Time, and they are both on her rotation in her car.  I think I can make progress bit by bit!  She's joining me in May for her second exposure to Joe, this time from front row...just having your hair bounce up and down from every sound beat has to be cool for her!

I'm 19 and I grew up listening Creedence Clearwater Revival, Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton.

I do not see the logic on this boomers thing being Joe biggest fans just because you saw Joe's influences acts on 1st row in their good days. That logic is so arrogant and ignorant about other generations. Not everybody who is young listened to rap or pop or whatever **## music is popular now. This is annoying me very much.

I hate to speak for all the boomers here, but I honestly don't think anyone here was being arrogant. The conversation started out about the great majority of fans at Joe's shows being baby boomers. I've been to a lot of Joe's shows and that statement is absolutely true.
I can see where the statement "Joe's biggest fans" might come off that way, but I think it was intended to mean the largest percentage of Joe's fans are baby boomers. I don't think anyone intended to imply that our age group were "bigger fans", only that there were more of us.

Hope that makes sense.

Front row Led Zep and Hendrix twice, (last at Isle of Wight) Free 7 times. Now Joe...... etc,  . Makes those unwanted groans when standing up or or bending over much more acceptable now doesn't it. lol

Yes my whole point was when I go to Joe's concerts there are way more of us baby boomers and I want the young crowed to be the majority not the minority at Joes concerts. So no arrogance at all here just the love of the music and the desire to get more young hooked on Joe's music. Cheers Ron

Well, yeah, that's what it felt to me, and it offended me to be considered less of a fan because I'm young. But if it didn't was what you implied, then I'm sorry with all you guys! smile

I would say in reading this thread and knowing the forum that no one would say anyone is less of a fan for age or any other reason.Overall the boomers here are very supportive of the younger generation digging the music they grew up loving. So I hope you are good.If anyone says otherwise about you or any other post boomers,I will have to turn Rocket loose on them! And Big Jeff Jones as back up if needed!

Actually, this young secretary came by my desk to ask a question and when she saw I was watching a Joe video she was really happy.......said she'd been following him for years. Beth Hart too and this girl is only 21

No apology necessary! We like having a younger crowd digging Joe...would NEVER dream of driving anyone off. If you're here, your obviously a big fan.
